On my website’s contact page there’s a question that asks, “How did you hear about me?” Michelle’s answer to this question is one I’ll forever adore. She had said, “From high school, stalking your Instagram and crossing my fingers you’d still be a photographer when I got engaged one day.” BIGGEST COMPLIMENT EVER. Needless to say, I was excited from that day forward to work with Michelle and Matt!
Fast forward to the wild year of 2020: Matt and Michelle’s long awaited spring wedding was postponed to summer due to COVID-19. However, I am happy to report these two are finally married.
When I say that it poured the entire day, this is not an exaggeration. Lancaster had so much rain that the flood warnings kept going off on everyone’s phones.
During Michelle’s sister’s speech she said, “Everything Michelle touches turns to gold.” I swear this is true because just when you thought the rain would never let up, the sunshine appeared out of no where before we taking bride and groom portraits. A true testament to Michelle turning the evening into sunshiny goodness.
A few highlights from this day:
I have to begin by mentioning that Michelle had custom cookies made for my birthday! Talk about the most “on brand” cookies I’ve ever seen. There were a mix of balloon garlands, a camera, my photography logo!!!, and the most adorable shave ice cookies I’ve seen in my life. And yes, I plan to turn some of these into Christmas ornaments because I simply cannot part with all of them! Thank you to Sarah Bakes for the yummy creations! (peep the last photo!)
All of the personalized touches Michelle included. From her invitations, to the reception decor and even making her own shear sleeves for the dress!
