On Friday I packed my trunk to the brim and traveled to Deep Creek for Bob and Tara’s wedding! With the amount of bags packed you would have thought we were going a full week. Nope, apparently this is just life traveling with a newborn (who did fantastic the entire trip by the way!)
I had never been to Deep Creek before and oh my gosh, how have I never been?! The cabins tucked away in the mountains gave me huge Colorado vibes and I was in Heaven.
After COVID forced Tara and Bob to downsize their big Baltimore wedding, they switched to plan B for an intimate ceremony overlooking Deep Creek Lake (not a bad back up plan if ya ask me!)
Some of my personal favorite highlights from Saturday:
-Tara and her bridesmaids getting ready flannels that went perfectly with their cabin’s Airbnb fireplace/ cozy vibe
-Their ceremony site overlooked Deep Creek lake from the top of the mountain and made the best backdrop to say ‘I do!’
-Bob’s dance with his mom was to Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide”, which I had not seen used before. I was wishing I had a mask to cover my eyes because I was tearing up HARD. I’m going to blame it on having my son last month and realizing this will be us one day (don’t blink). Tucking their song choice in my back pocket to use someday
-Tara gifted Bob socks that looked like their pup, Maddie. I’m a sucker for anything that ties something they both adore into a wedding day!
